Happy New Year, friends! B and I rang it in by going to bed at 11pm... I promise we tried to stay up, haha! 

I figured I'd come here and right down my goals and intentions for this year. I love Woody Guthrie's "New Years Rulin's" shown above. The best thing about a new year is starting fresh and making plans, so here they are:

1. NO SHOPPING (say WHAAAAAAA?!)

What I mean is that I'm taking the year off of clothes shopping for myself. This doesn't include buying stuff for the home, our wedding, or gifts for others and I will buy essentials when needed (underwear, bras, makeup, etc....). I've been contemplating this for a long time now and it's just something that I need to do. I wouldn't say I have an online shopping addiction or a ton a clothes, but I have everything that I need. Plus, I want to pay off my credit card and start working on my school loans. Did I mention we have a wedding coming up too?

2. EAT HEALTHIER

I don't think B and I eat bad at all, but for the month of December I don't think I consumed any fruits or vegetables (unless pizza sauce counts?). We went gluten free for a while and I definitely want to hop back on that train (making exceptions here and there though).

3. WORK OUT

I haven't worked out in a really long time. I used to practice yoga and I definitely want to start doing it again because it makes me feel better (imagine that!).

4. DRINK MORE WATER (and way less booze)

Because, duh!

5. READ MORE

6. WRITE DOWN THINGS I'M GRATEFUL FOR

Mostly this is good for the soul. I feel like sometimes we forget how grateful we are.

7. TRAVEL OFTEN

8. BLOG MORE



Of course I have other things I'd like to accomplish, but these are just the basics. Do you make resolutions? if so, what goals do you set for yourself?
